Heather holds a vision that we live in a world where all of us are living healthy empowered lives.  Where all individuals have access to expert healthcare and are guided along a path to to being your best healthy self.  Partnering with people to help them move and feel better in their bodies is Heather’s intention.   She is  eager to help you with a current problem and work with you before an injury or illness starts.  

Outside of her work Heather loves being outside in nature and playing in the mountains.  She loves feeling the flow of the trails on her bike, skis or feet with her friends.  Enjoying some time in stillness is key to fluid movement and health.

Heather has followed a path to her work as a Physiotherapist through the completion of her Physiotherapy Degree at the University of Toronto.  Following the initial into the world of healthcare Heather completed her Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy with Distinction and  certification in acupuncture and sports physiotherapy.  These courses have lead to opportunities to provide support with the host medical teams at the Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Olympics.  Through integrating clinical and course work Heather has enhanced her assessment and observational skills to better serve you in the the virtual office.  With a desire to learn more and discover solutions to empower individuals to be their best healthy selves Heather completed a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy.  Part of this work has lead to the development of the virtual multi disciplinary healthcare team.  We know we must collaborate to get the best results and truly make a change in our health.

Cheryl Nickurak  

Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist 

Cheryl is powered by her dedication and passion for nutrition science and desire for life-long learning and education methods to help support decision making and change. She has extensive and varied experience with risk reduction and treatment of inflammatory processes and disease, weight management, pre/diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal health, kidney disease, allergies, food intolerance, nutrition for sport and women’s and family health. She strives to facilitate wholistic step-by step and big-picture, consistent, flexible changes for choosing foods, encouraging self-management and instilling confidence to celebrating successes. Cheryl can provide tangible solutions and ideas for food selection and preparation and support a cultural diversity.

Cheryl enjoys gardening, music, dance, yoga, cycling and family time. She first became very interested in nutrition in elementary school. Her mother predicted she would be a nutritionist.

Barb Clemes, PT 

B.Sc. PT (University of Toronto), IMS, Diploma in Manipulative Therapy, AFCI (acupuncture), Women’s Health 

Barb has been a physiotherapist since 1977 and worked in private practice in the Bow Valley since 1989, continuing to work part time, with prior experience at Vancouver General Hospital. She has worked with national biathletes, alpine skiers and mountain bike racers, many climbers, golfers, the local Junior A hockey team (Canmore Eagles) and treated dancers backstage for Alberta National Ballet. As well as the variety of sporting trauma and training injuries Barb has treated many backs and necks related to posture and work.

Enjoying many aspects of the outdoors Barb has worked as a mountain guide and climbing instructor, and a gymnastics coach and judge. She currently enjoys road and mountain biking, golf, climbing and Nordic and back country skiing. She competed nationally as a young gymnast, and on the national team for rock climbing and the X games for ice climbing. Oct. 2011 Barb was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in her home town of Guelph, Ontario, for her first Canadian women’s ascent of North America’s highest peak Mt. McKinley/Denali, her first women’s ascents of Rockies waterfalls and sport and traditional climbs. 

Barb completed her post graduate education for complex screening and spinal manipulation in 2002, and specializes in shoulder overuse, degenerative and mechanical problems due to muscle imbalances, and in knee traumas and spinal problems. She has worked with many car accident victims, construction industry injuries, WCB patients and post surgical patients. Barb has an interest in osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and Parkinson’s.

The years of experience have given Barb a valuable depth of experience and ability to adjust to different treatment scenarios.
